On the value of a unique online identity (“UOI”)
TTG is built on reputation.
Viewers want to be confident that a specific person is staking his or her reputation on the Trust Test Guarantee.
Creators of TTG-qualified videos can use whatever name they want when attaching the TTG label...
. . . but to minimize confusion they may want to use a unique online identity (“UOI”) — a name that no one else in the world can have.
Two examples of UOIs:
• the URL of the video creator’s own website
• the video creator’s username on a social-media platform.
Video creators should note that TTG-ready publishers are free to reject UOIs that they find problematic.
