lens/camera anomalies
The term “lens/camera anomalies” includes:
• anamorphic lenses
•
barrel and pincushion distortion (bpd)
•
combinations of bpd, such as “mustache” distortion
• corner and edge darkening (also known as “light falloff”)
•
digital noise
• banding
• moire
•
the random faulty pixel
•
lens flare and internal reflections
• chromatic aberration and purple fringing
Except for anamorphic lens compression — which always must be fully corrected — most lens/camera anomalies can usually* be fully corrected, partially corrected, or left uncorrected.
Any corrections involving the addition of AI-generated content disqualify the result from TTG, as per V2.
* Any exceptions would be when the result does not meet the rinairs standard in V7).
